Biography
Richard and Marissa have been in ministry for many years, firstly as worship pastors in New Zealand and Australia and also as Senior Pastors for 10 years at the Elim Church in Wellington, New Zealand.
In 2022, they emigrated to the U.K. and spent two years in Church leadership roles with All Nations Church and Elim CLC in Birmingham.
In 2024, they were asked to help at The Mount Hope Foundation in Indonesia so they stepped out in faith and moved to Indonesia as missionaries.
Richard and Marissa are passionate song-writers, musicians and love seeing people discipled and equipped in God's Word.
Richard was born in the U.K. and Marissa Indonesia. They have three young adult children, Elijah, Ethan and Arielle, who currently live in New Zealand and the U.K. for school, study and work - a global family!
Indonesia - The Mount Hope Foundation
Mount Hope is recognised nationwide for equipping thousands of Christian leaders to impact communities across Indonesia, the world's largest Muslim country.
It has three key entities;
1. A Bible College - offering degrees in Theology and Christian Education (112 students)
2. A Christian Institute - Offering degrees in Visual Communication Design, Business, and Tourism. (380 students)
3. A School and Training Centre - An award-winning Pre-School and School - Established on 25 hectares to lift the standard of education and living in the area. It houses ~160 resident children, educates 300–350 children and sustains itself through pig/fish farms, gardens, a black pepper plantation and a cafe/bakery.
We have come to help transition the leadership to a new structure and way of operating, as well as to serve in leadership, pastoral, and discipleship roles.
We want to ensure that this incredible legacy of faith continues for many years to come.
As with all Elim Missionaries we need to raise our own support, so we would love to have you partner with us here in Indonesia.
