ABOUT US

Partnering with the Spirit in the renewal of all things under the Lordship of Christ

Elim's heart for overseas mission was birthed in the wake of a new spirit of evangelism and church planting.

Missionaries were sent out from 1922, working mainly in Africa in connection with other Pentecostal groups. 'The Elim Missionary Society' was founded In 1929. The Second World War curtailed missionary expansion, but in 1945 new developments happened and over the next few years missionaries went out to many countries in Africa, South America and Asia.

Now known as Elim International Missions, we are involved in nearly 50 countries around the world, sending missionaries to many different situations, but all with the same aim of reaching people with the good news of Jesus Christ.

We believe firmly that all Christians are called to partner with the Spirit in the renewal of all things. God is active in the world, bringing transformation and salvation. We have the privilege of joining in that work wherever we are.

Our missionaries work in a wide variety of ways; some use practical skills to support the communities where they are placed and make connections to share the Gospel, some focus on church planting or pioneering Gospel Communities, some work with existing agencies or charities. All work to spread the Gospel and make disciples of Christ.

Elim Missions also works through a network of Global Partners. Many of our Partners are national leaders or organisations who are linked with Elim through a shared heart to see the Kingdom of God established in their nation. Part of our vision and heart is not just to send missionaries from the UK, but to raise leaders in the nations to reach all the nations with the Gospel.

Elim Missions exists to:

  • Stand with the sending church
  • Support the empowered missionary
  • Surrender to the Spirit
