News from Alan and Alice Osborn

May 2026

England

In the last few months we have been able to minister in 2 new Elim churches: in Clapham with Pastor Felix and Felicia Appiah, and also in Braintree with Pastor Andy and Gleisi Knight. Both of these churches are such great examples of dynamic, Holy Spirit led, places of worship! We were made to feel at home and part of their church families. The Braintree church later arranged an online prayer meeting for us and them - to pray for Estonia and our ministry.

We were also able to attend the Elim Metropolitan Regional Day at Ilford, where we were encouraged and able to catch up with many friends as well as wishing Dave Campbell the very best for his retirement.

We have numerous upcoming teams from the UK visiting us in Estonia this year, already in the pipeline, and there is great excitement for each one of these. Please do get in touch if you want to bring a team to Estonia or would like us to visit with your church.

Ministry

Estonia

Over the last few months we have had the privilege of preaching and ministering in the EKNK churches located in Valga, Turba and 2 churches in Tallinn; taking the ‘mission message’ to them. We were also able to attend the annual EKNK Pastors Ball which is always a great honour and fun.

In our role as International Mission Leaders for EKNK, we were able to visit 2 mission conferences held in Estonia: 1) sharing at the YWAM Go conference and 2) attending the Baptist conference. These were a chance to meet new people and to learn from, as well as input into others.

Alan was able to visit with family in Texas as well as attend a Pastors conference along with his spiritual father, retired Pastor and missionary John Waller.

Sasha

We attended our daughters Sasha’s wedding in England, which was a fantastic time with all the family together in one place. After which we had some rest and holiday time in Italy.

First Teams of 2026

Cultivate Ireland

Grace Joel Josh Ryan

Grace, Joel, Josh and Ryan

A team from Elim in Ireland, part of the Cultivate internship programme, stayed with us in Parnu over a weekend to serve and to grow in ministry.

They helped to run the EKNK Parnu Church newly started youth group, one evening, which was a real encouragement.

They helped practically, clearing the garden of cut down trees for a Christian family, and they shared and ministered in a local care home.

They prepared really well and also got to minister at the EKNK Kabi Church, pretty much running the whole service, bringing the worship - in Estonian! - preaching and praying for people. The feedback was excellent - very well done.

East London Gateway Churches

A team of 4 Pastors from the Elim, East London Gateway Churches came to Tallinn for an impactful 4 days of giving and receiving ministry. On day 1, after evangelism in the Old Town, the team headed into the Tallinn prison to minister to Russian speaking men and women, where there was a tangible sense of God's presence as the team shared and prayed over them.

The next day was spent at the Village of Hope, ministering in the morning, but getting to spend the day with Bishop Mart Vahi, who blessed them with both encouragement and prophetic words.

The third day featured them as the key speakers at the EKNK Pastors and Workers conference, during which they prayed, brought the days teaching and also allowed space for the Holy Spirit to move powerfully.

On their final day the team went to preach and minister at the Toompea, Rae and Vineyard congregations, before heading back to Toompea for the afternoon Russian speaking service at which many people were prayed for individually.

It was a great team effort and much was given out to EKNK by these wonderful Pastors, as they seek to continue to develop a deeper relationship with us and with EKNK. We are so thankful for them! They will also be hosting in their East London churches, a Pastor and Leaders team from EKNK this autumn.

EKNK International Missions

In our role of leading EKNK International Missions, we attended missions conferences, and have begun touring EKNK churches with the message of mission and why and how they can be involved. We are being well received and the Estonian Pentecostal people are certainly starting to think much more missionally.

We are training churches to receive overseas teams into Estonia and training both churches and individuals who are joining our EKNK international mission trips this year. We are taking teams to Luton in England, Thailand, Kavala in Greece, Leighon-Sea/Southend in England, Georgia and East London. Please pray for these teams!

We are also mentoring Estonian Christians towards longer term mission placements, and becoming fulltime on field missionaries - partnering with Elim’s Missions Academy.

We particularly enjoyed an evening of teaching with the Toompea Church Leaders School students one evening on both mission and kingdom!

As we continue producing training materials we are starting to write policies and processes in order to build a simple to function missions department for EKNK. Exciting times lay ahead but we are seeing God’s hand in every step along this truly wonderful journey.

Freedom In Christ

Vabadus Kristuses Estonia

Please continue to pray for the newly translated Russian FIC course, that it will bless Russian speakers globally as well as those within Estonia, which is about 30% of the population.

There have been Estonian FIC courses running in Muhu, Valga and Tallinn. We are making plans to run another online course this year. We need wisdom in the best timing of when to start and which day of the week will work best for people. We open these to people from any denomination as this tool really does stretch well across them and helps with greater unity.

Please pray for those who were assessing the course in the Baptist denomination and that they would embrace the teaching and begin using it widely across their congregations.

Partnering with us

Come and help spread the Gospel of the Kingdom

We want to sincerely thank those who have supported us in this amazing gospel journey with Jesus in Estonia! Currently, we still need to raise an additional £500 per month of personal finances, now that we are fully dedicated to this exciting Kingdom work. Why not join us through prayer, mission trips and giving financially. So please pray about joining a short-term mission team into Estonia, or even consider leading one from your church? Contact at alan.osborn@elim.org.uk for any further details.

Prayer needs

  • For God’s protection over us as we continue to break new ground in many ways here in Estonia
  • For our role in shaping and moving forward EKNK International Missions and that we will hear God’s wisdom and direction in forging together lasting partnerships in other nations
  • For the upcoming 4 mission teams we are leading.
  • For our Freedom in Christ ministry and that it helps make fruitful disciples of many Christians.
  • For an increase in our regular financial support.
