A Season of Growth & Celebration

Hello Brothers & Sisters in Christ

First of all, please forgive us for how long it has been since we last sent out a newsletter. The months have passed so quickly! It has been a very long and very hot summer here in Spain!

As a family, Bruno, myself and the children are doing well, and so thankful for God's goodness. Howard and Sue continue to serve the Lord with great joy and faithfulness. They are a real inspiration to us and to many others, as they continue to mentor, encourage and support Elim leaders and believers across Spain. God continues to use them in so many ways, and we are deeply thankful for the wisdom, experience and encouragement they bring to those around them. They also continue to pour themselves into the House of Júda retreat project in Guaro, which is becoming a wonderful resource for blessing and strengthening others.

Thank you to everyone who continues to pray for us, encourage us and stand alongside the church. Your partnership means so much to us.

Growing in God's Word and the Holy Spirit

God has been speaking to us as a church about growing closer to Jesus, becoming more Christ-like and being rooted in Christ, in His Word, in the Church and in Mission! We have been so blessed in both our english and spanish speaking weekly bible studies as we have gone through the Elim “Holy Spirit Course”, which has been a tremendous blessing to us! Especially as we have welcomed several new Spanish-speaking families into our Bible study and church. It is an absolute joy to see people growing, maturing spiritually and becoming more deeply rooted in their faith.

The fruit of our Christmas event

We are especially thankful for the f ruit that has come f rom our Oasis Christmas event, which we shared about in our previous newsletter. Following that event, a new family began attending our church; a mum and her two children, a young daughter and a son in his early twenties. Since coming to the Christmas event, they have continued to attend becoming part of our church family. Recently all three were baptized!

What a wonderful testimony of how God can use a special event to touch the hearts of people!

A Joyful Celebration — Ten Baptisms!

And that brings us to our baptism service where we recently baptised 10 people! We give thanks to God for every one of them, It has been such a wonderful encouragement to see new people responding to the Gospel, growing in their faith and becoming more involved in the church. We pray that the Lord will continue to strengthen each one and establish them firmly in His Word.

This baptism service was particularly meaningful for our family. Last year, our daughter Lilia was baptised, and this year our son Joel made the decision to follow Jesus in baptism. He was one of the ten people baptised in our recent service! As parents, it is an absolute joy to see our children growing in their faith and making their own decisions to follow Jesus.

As they begin another school year, we would love to ask you to pray especially for them. Please pray that they will have a good school year, develop good and healthy friendships, and that God will give them wisdom and self-confidence.

We are so thankful for what God is doing in their lives and in the lives of the congregation!
