Ministry
England
Alan managed to fit in his annual cycle ride with his brothers, this time riding across the Outer Hebrides Islands in the North West of Scotland
There have been some excellent times of ministry back in England as we seek to continue building relationships with the UK churches. We have been able to minister in the Princess Risborough, Luton, Leigh-on-Sea, Barking and Ashingdon Elim churches. There are also other churches we are forming exciting new connections with.
We have also helped to equip and train UK teams on cross cultural mission prior to them visiting Estonia, for Luton and the East Gateway Hub. Which is always a joy to be part of.
Visiting and ministering at Elim’s Princess Risborough enabled us to catch up with several good friends and to spend time with Pastors Marcus and Wendy Pawsey.
At Luton Christian Fellowship, we had time with the team who would later travel to Estonia and to catch up with Pastors Mike and Beki Nicholls.
Next came a visit with the Leigh-on-Sea church which we always enjoy. Followed by a very recent visit to the Barking and Ashingdon churches and to see some great friends and have time with Pastors Lloyd and Joanne Cheshire. We really do enjoy our trips back to the UK!
Estonia
During the last number of months we have had the privilege of preaching and ministering in the EKNK churches located in Parnu, Kabli, Turba, Abja, Viljandi, Valga, Tallinn (Toompea and Elu), Muhu and also Kuressaare. It is so great to be part of what God is doing all over Estonia, to work with such great people and a real joy for us to serve them.
We hosted a mission team from PEM, Pastor John and Irene Young, our now annual Why Missions? conference, as well as 4 mission teams from UK Elim churches. We also led an EKNK team from Estonia to England. Alan attended the World Pentecostal Conference in Helsinki with the EKNK Board and was able to introduce Elim’s GS Mark Pugh to them.
Life is never easy; Alan lost his best friend from School to cancer, while a very good friend of Alice lost her younger sister. Although we experienced sadness, God remains good.
Alan managed a short trip to Texas to visit his son’s family which was a great joy; as was the visit to Estonia by his daughter’s family. Being a missionary really is an adventure with Jesus.
Alice continues to host the 2 hour live broadcast, prayer show on TV7 each month. This is always an exciting time as it includes live worship, discussion and interviewing guests, as well as taking prayer requests that come in and steering these into the production.
40 Days of International Mission
Alice and I had the most incredible 40 days of nonstop mission. Teams seemed only able to visit close to each other this year but we managed pull off 6 back to back events.
Guernsey
Pastor Benn Duncan and Elder Paul Mudge spent time in Estonia to ‘survey the land’ and we managed to fit in a significant time with Bishop Märt Vähi.
EKNK to Leigh-on-Sea
From across 7 EKNK churches we formed a team that went to Leigh-on-Sea and also helped at the Love Essex day held in Southend. This stunning team really helped to strengthen UK partnerships!
Luton
The team from Luton Christian Fellowship
The first mission trip from Luton saw them get stuck into mission in many ways. After seeing some of Tallinn they then spent time in the Village of Hope before heading to Parnu, where they were involved in schools work, evangelism and ministered in a care home. They also had a huge impact with local youth gathering 50 of them into a pizza and games evening at which testimonies were given and the gospel was preached. The hope is this will kick start a new youth work for the Parnu church! They also ministered in church services in Parnu and Viljandi.
East Gateway Hub
This Hub team had people from Barking, East Ham and Ashingdon Elim churches. They brought a powerful spiritual presence as they ministered at a youth night, on the streets of Tallinn and in 2 EKNK Tallinn churches. They also experienced the Islands and worked hard with evangelism and gospel services. During their trip they saw 30 people give there lives to Jesus, which was incredible to see and very impactful.
Leigh-on-Sea
The Leigh-on-Sea team visited Tallinn and then headed to the Islands of Saaremaa and Muhu. This team of 6 got involved in a youth night, street evangelism, worship and ministering in both the Kuressaare and Muhu churches. They also stopped to experience the Village of Hope rehab centre. Above retired Pastor Mike Wright is preaching.
EKNK International Missions
Impact Baltics Mission
In July we hosted two amazing Impact teams from Pentecostal European Mission (PEM) working with EKNK churches; one went to Valga and the other to Kuressaare. Valga held a children’s camp and we did street evangelism and worship and well as a radio show about mission and evening gospel meetings with the team that went to Kuressaare. Lives were impacted and we built strong relationships with the PEM team.
Why Mission? Conference
At this years conference, held in Valga, we shared about what has been happening across EKNK International Mission in 2025, as well as the goals and opportunities ahead for 2026.
The keynote speaker at the conference was Gary Gibbs, an evangelist from England, who spoke about how deeply mission is in the heart of God. The participants heard about the characteristics of a missionary-minded person, how God has acted as a messenger throughout the Bible, what theological challenges accompany practical missionary work, and how to preach the whole gospel. We were delighted with the day and all that God did.
Our development of training materials for shortterm mission teams has now been completed. Soon we hope to record these and make them available to the Pastors and mission co-ordinators across the EKNK churches. We continue to build relationships with all the other missionaries serving here, and excitingly, we have our first potential full-time EKNK overseas missionary exploring that journey.
Freedom In Christ
Vabadus Kristuses Estonia
We have had several queries across Europe with interest in the newly translated Russian course. This has been exciting considering that we have not sought to advertise yet. That will come very soon and we hope it will bless Russian speakers globally as well of course as the 30% of the Estonian population.
There are also several Estonian courses being run in different denominations at present, and there is a large Baptist church that is in the process of evaluating the teaching materials. Please pray for those running and those attending the courses and particularly that the Baptist denomination would embrace the teaching and begin using it widely across their congregations, thank you!

Partnering with us
Come and help spread the Gospel of the Kingdom
We would love for you to partner with us in our calling and gospel mission to Estonia. Could you please consider being a new regular donor, we need just 6 people or churches giving £100 monthly or 60 people giving £10 monthly. Also please do pray about joining a future short-term mission team into this nation, or even lead a team from your church? Do make contact at alan.osborn@elim.org.uk for any further details.
