Alan teaching about the Kingdom

We had a fantastic weekend with John and Deb Bullock and their core team at Kingdom Life Church in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. We spent an evening introducing Kingdom concepts and a day seminar digging deeper into what that means. We enjoyed great fellowship and were able to share some of our work in Estonia with the wider church.

It was great to also be at the Metropolitan Regional Day held in Ilford, where we were able to see so many friends and to be interviewed about the work we are doing in Estonia.

Next came an invitation to share at the Elim Hope Community Church in Hillingdon with Ruth Trbojevic which was a blessing for us and we got to spend time with Ruth’s family afterwards. We have also been able to preach at the Elim churches in East Ham with Michael Ovenden, Eastbourne with Carla Irving and Luton with Mike Nicholls.

We were then able to join the Elim Missionaries Conference and Elim Global Conference at KT in London, that were quickly followed by a trip up to Harrogate for the Elim Leaders Summit. A real treat for us, was the ability to stay off site with good friends from the Leigh-on-Sea church.

Estonia

During the last number of months we have had the privilege of preaching and ministering in the EKNK churches located in Parnu, Kabli, Turba, Muhu and also Kuressaare. Such great people and a real joy for us to serve them.

We hosted a team of 4 interns from Elim Ireland for a day in our home town of Parnu and got them practically helping a Christian family as well as leading an evening Bible study for our local church.

We were able to attend the annual EKNK Pastors Ball with a time together of fellowship, ministry and relaxation, which the Pastors here really do need as most are bi-vocational.

It was also are privilege to host friends and guests Bruce and Sharon Oliver, who both spoke and ministered at the EKNK Pastors and Leaders day. The Holy Spirit moved powerfully on people who were healed and set free.

TV7 Prayer Show

Alice continues to host the 2 hour live broadcast, prayer show on TV7 each month. This is always an exciting time as it includes live worship, discussion and interviewing guests, as well as taking prayer requests that come in and steering these into the production.

Sharing about Missions in a local Primary School

Our mission work is so beautifully varied. What a joy to share in a local Christian Primary School about the work we do as missionaries. The children asked us many great questions, so do pray that our story will have a lasting impact.

First EKNK Missions Team to England

The first ever EKNK mission team to England came from their Toompea Church based in Tallinn. There were 15 quiet and shy people not fully knowing what to expect, that God used to bless many across the East London Gateway Hub of churches. Superbly hosted and catered for by Lloyd and Joanne Cheshire and the pastoral team, along with so many church members. Throughout the whole week ministry took place in the Barking, East Ham, Pitsea and Ashingdon churches.

Ministering to the Hub Pastors and Leaders

There were leaders seminars, youth work, worship, street evangelism, cafes, testimonies, preaching, prophecy, words of knowledge, healings - as well as 7 new commitments to Jesus - with people connected into the churches. Mission really is a win-win-win. Those travelling had life changing experiences, the hosting churches were all encouraged and blessed and the Kingdom increased. This is why we do what we do! A return team from the Hub back into Estonia takes place this October!

EKNK International Missions

Impact Baltics Mission

In July we are working with the Pentecostal European Mission (PEM) and co-ordinating the Impact Baltics mission into Estonia, where multiple teams will arrive for a week of mission with EKNK churches across the nation. We were able to help the PEM team cover a small pre-tour of some EKNK churches and held some planning meetings.

Why Mission? Conference

Our annual Why Mission? conference returns this coming September - and we are very excited to have Gary Gibbs as our guest. Gary first visited Estonia on short-term mission trips in the 1990's, just as EKNK were starting out.

Our development of training materials for sending short-term mission teams has now being piloted and work on how to receive teams well, is being written. After these documents are complete we will aim to produce high-quality videos to make the training available across all the EKNK churches.

FIC Europe Conference

Krakow Poland

April saw the International Board, the International Leadership Team and members of the European team of FIC, meet together in Krakow for what proved to be an extremely fruitful few days. The first part of the week both the International Board and Leadership team met, and were then joined at the weekend by members of the European Team.

Both the leadership meeting and the European retreat gave lots of opportunities to come together to share, pray and enjoy fellowship over meals. To have time to connect, collaborate, and seek God's guidance was wonderful. The key aim of the meetings was to better understand the challenges our National Leaders face. It was also a great way for both the International Board and Leadership Team to get to know the European Team members better.

Back in Estonia and we have shipped the first copies of the new Russian course to Norway and to Germany. There are also several Estonian courses being run in different denominations, please pray for those running and those attending, thank you!

Resources

Learn and support at the same time

We are keen to make disciples and have written books on what we believe is the single most important aspect of Jesus’ teaching – his Kingdom.

Buying these resources will help to support us while you learn more about this either by yourself or with others in a group setting.

Partnering with us

Come and help spread the Gospel of the Kingdom

We would love for you to partner with us in our calling and gospel mission to Estonia. Could you perhaps consider being part of a short-term mission team into this nation, or even lead a team from your church or region? Either way, we would be excited to help host and be part of arranging your trip. Do please contact us at alan.osborn@elim.org.uk for further details.

Prayer needs

Your prayers are needed! Estonia is one of the top ten most atheistic countries in the world, with both high alcoholism and suicide rates. Please pray for:

  • For God’s protection over us as we continue to break new ground in many ways here in Estonia
  • For our role in shaping and moving forward EKNK International Missions and that we will hear God’s wisdom and direction in forging together lasting partnerships in other nations
  • For the Freedom in Christ courses currently running in both Estonian and the Russian languages
  • For the Laws of the Kingdom book to be a blessing to its readers
  • For an increase in our regular financial support.
