News from Alan and Alice Osborn
February 2026
England
We were invited to minister at the Delancey Elim church on Guernsey Island and stayed with hosts, Nigel and Sue, who looked after us very well. On the Saturday we shared with the church about our work in Estonia and on Sunday preached at the morning service, and also at an evening service where the Eldad Elim church also joined us.
All those that we met were kind, encouraging and generous towards us, which really does make it easy to build lasting partnerships.
Sharing about mission with Pastor Benn Duncan
We continue to build upon all our existing church relationships as well as nurturing new ones. We are excited for what God is up to in the midst of them all
We have numerous upcoming visits in the pipeline and there is great excitement for each one of these too; so the diary for 2026 is already filling up. Please don’t let that stop you from reaching out to us though!
Ministry
Estonia
Over the last few months we have had the privilege of preaching and ministering in the EKNK churches located in Parnu, Kabli, Viljandi and Muhu. We also visited churches in Lihula and Abja as we continue to build friendships with them. We do not take these opportunities for granted and are always well received by beautiful Estonia believers.
We built in some rest to our busy lives and hectic schedule with brief trips to Devon/Cornwall, Dublin and also a winter sun holiday...because it does get very cold here in winter, the lowest so far has been -22 Celsius!
2025 has been the first year ever for Alan, not being with his family at Christmas, in fact he has missed every family birthday this year. There is a cost to serving as a missionary - but the adventure with Jesus is worth the sacrifice.
Alice continues to host the 2 hour live broadcast, prayer show on TV7 each month. This is always an exciting time as it includes live worship, discussion and interviewing guests, as well as taking prayer requests that come in and steering these into the production. The theme of the last show was - “The Foundation of Faith: A Clear Conscience”.
Our first Christmas together in Estonia did create some memorable moments for us as missionaries. Three key ones were 1) a virtual Christmas party with the Delancey and Abja churches; 2) providing Christmas hampers to churches for their poor and needy; 3) a children’s Christmas party for Estonian poor families and Ukrainian refugees.
Christmas Party in Abja
During the evening a zoom call was made for the churches to wish each other well and to pray together. A special new bond has been created as well as a brand new tradition in Abja as meals together like this have never been done before!
Christmas Hampers Across the Region
Focused on quality content
A financial gift was given that allowed us to create 12 amazing Christmas hampers so that the EKNK churches across our region could bless those who have very little for Christmas. Such a joy to create and send these - see above and to the right...
Children’s Christmas Party
An offering was taken earlier this year at Kingdom Life church in Newcastle. We used this kind donation to help support a local work, where for many years a minister and his wife have held a children’s Christmas party for those in poverty. This year they had no support to run their event and so we were able to use this gift to provide what they needed. A mixture of Estonian and Ukrainian refugee children (all together 42) attended and received a hot meal and presents, played games and activities, as well as hearing about Jesus! With adults there were 65-70 participants.
It is not an easy time for many in Estonia - when the electricity prices are extremely high, and the bitter cold pushes people to their limits. We, along with all those who received from the generosity of others, are so truly grateful to churches who give in this way and enable us as missionaries the privilege of sharing with the poor and needy. Thank you!
In our role of leading EKNK International Missions, planning for 2026 is well under way. We will be representing EKNK at several conferences, touring EKNK churches, training churches and mentoring people. We have made updates to the missions website, done some graphic design work and began considering having a social media presence.
Heaven’s Gates Hell’s Flames
We get involved in many things here in Estonia. Recently we joined a team who put on this dramatic play in the village of Kabli. Alice played a business woman who after a plane crash makes it into heaven, Alan played the role of a demon!
20 People gave their lives to Jesus for the first time at the Heaven’s Gates Hell’s Flame play!
Ashingdon Knitters!
Some might think that they cannot be involved in overseas mission, but think again! A knitting group that meets at the Ashingdon Elim church have been knitting blankets and sending them to EKNK church charity shops. Local people value these particularly in autumn and winter. They are sold at low prices and help those without much heat during the cold seasons, and at the same time connecting them with their local church. God really can use anyone.
Freedom In Christ
Vabadus Kristuses Estonia
Please continue to pray for the newly translated Russian FIC course, that it will bless Russian speakers globally as well as those within Estonia, which is about 30% of the population.
There have been Estonian FIC courses running in Muhu, Valga and Tallinn. We are making plans to run another online course this year. We need wisdom in the best timing of when to start and which day of the week will work best for people. We open these to people from any denomination as this tool really does stretch well across them and helps with greater unity.
Please pray for those who were assessing the course in the Baptist denomination and that they would embrace the teaching and begin using it widely across their congregations.
Resources
Learn and support at the same time
We are keen to make disciples and have written books on what we believe is the single most important aspect of Jesus’ teaching – his Kingdom.
Buying these resources will help to support us while you learn more about this either by yourself or with others in a group setting.

Announcing: The new Student Workbook (A4) that accompanies Territory of the Kingdom is now available and is a great aid for either personal or group study!

Partnering with us
Come and help spread the Gospel of the Kingdom
We want to sincerely thank those who have supported us in this amazing gospel journey with Jesus in Estonia! Currently, we still need to raise an additional £500 per month of personal finances, so that we can be fully dedicated to this exciting Kingdom work. Why not join us through prayer, mission trips and giving whatever you are able financially. So please pray about joining a short-term mission team into Estonia, or even lead one from your church? Contact at alan.osborn@elim.org.uk for any further details.
