On Sunday 1 November at 6pm, Elim Missions and Elim Prayer will come together for Prayer for the Nations, a special gathering to pray with and for the persecuted church. The evening marks the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
For many of us, gathering openly to worship, pray and share our faith is something we can easily take for granted. Across the world, countless followers of Jesus live out that same calling in very different circumstances, facing opposition, restriction and persecution because of their faith.
This evening gives us an opportunity to stand with them, to hear something of the realities they face, and to use the freedom we have to pray for those who do not share those same freedoms. It is also a chance to lift our eyes beyond our own churches and communities and remember our shared calling to take the good news of Jesus to the nations.

ADOPT AN UNREACHED PEOPLE GROUP
There are approximately 4,400 unreached people groups worldwide (Source: Joshua Project). Following on from this prayer event, we are calling on Elim Churches to adopt an unreached people group and commit to praying for them on a regular, long-term basis.
The Joshua Project has a helpful online tool for you to adopt a people group and receive regular updates and prayer points for them. Click the button below to visit their website and adopt a people group.
