Elim Missions launches a new fundraising campaign

If you were to walk around the world, you would have to walk 24,900 miles. That's a long way, but when you break it down and spread it out amongst a group of people, it becomes a lot more doable.

We want to mobilise the Elim movement to join together to do some sponsored walks, so that we as Team Elim can walk around the world.

We're looking for churches to pledge how many miles they will walk, whether it's a big group of people walking a long distance together, or individuals pledging smaller distances to add up together, to raise money for Elim Missions.

The work we do around the world is varied: from supporting victims of human exploitation through our Be Free Projects, to church planting, to providing an education for children who otherwise wouldn't be able to afford it, to supporting the work of Elim Missionaries all around the world, and much more.

How do I get involved?+

Whether you're going to be walking alone or as a group from your church, your first step is signing up and pledging how many miles you're going to walk.

From there, it's time to start fundraising! You can give people the link to our page on Just Giving, or you can set up your own page by heading to Elim's JustGiving page and clicking "Start Fundraising."

When do we walk?+

Whenever is convenient for you! We're running the event throughout August 2026, so pick a date during the month that works for you, and get your steps in! While you're walking, why not get your camera out to take some pictures or videos, and tag us @elimmissions on social media!

Can we actually walk around the world?+

We certainly hope so! 24,900 miles is definitely a long way, but if we were to get 200 churches involved, that would be 124.5 miles per church. If you get 20 people from your church to walk 6 miles, you've covered 124.5 miles!

Some churches might pledge a smaller distance, but that's okay because there will be other churches who can cover a larger distance. Together, as Team Elim, we can absolutely Walk Around the World!

What will the money be used for?+

We're fundraising to support the ongoing work of Elim Missions. We work in a wide variety of ways, across many nations in the world. Your fundraising would help support:

  • Missionaries - we have 60 Elim Missionaries, working in 24 countries, across 4 continents.
  • Partners - our network of Elim Global Partners is wide, covering over 50 nations and involving a wide variety of different types of ministry.
  • Projects - there are a lot of different projects being undertaken by our Missionaries and Global Partners at any given time. Churches, schools, hospitals, ministries... the list goes on.

These are just a few examples of how the money will be used. As a self-funding department of the Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance, Elim Missions is always fundraising to support our ongoing work. This campaign will enable us to be agile in sending money where it is needed most.
