Peter Narkotey

Malawi

Biography

My name is Peter Narkotey. I am 59 years old. I am married to Agnes Narkotey and we have been blessed to two lovely children, Daniel and Rebecca.

I have been the Pastor of the Elim Pentecostal Church, Battersea, South West London for 17 years. At the same time as a professional classroom teacher, I was teaching Mathematics in London Schools including, Townley Grammar School for Girls, Bexleyheath and the Sixth Form Centre, Hackney Community College. I was ordained in June 2010.

In August 2013, I took up International teaching appointment as Mathematics teacher in a British International School in Malawi and left the church in Battersea in the hands of my assistant, Pastor Henry Airen-Egharevba. The then Elim International Missions Director, Paul Hudson introduced me to the Leadership of the Elim Pentecostal churches of Malawi as well as the Missionary team. I have since been serving with the Elim Missions in Malawi, helping with church planting and preaching across Malawi. In particular, I have been the Coordinator of the Elim Schools in Malawi, ensuring provision of quality Christian education across our schools. It is fulfilling to see souls saved as I travel across Malawi, preaching the Gospel. What also touches my heart is the number of children who otherwise would never have had the chance to receive even basic education now in school through the Elim Schools project. There are still challenges though. We still need help with resources in our schools in order to improve the quality of education we provide to our learners. We invite you to partner with us as we serve the Lord through help the less privileged in society.
