Stacey was born in Neath, Wales and David was born in Ipswich. They have served on the ministry team in our Ipswich Church for the past 10 years. They have two wonderful boys – Joseph and Joshua who are looking forward to the new adventure – especially the volcanoes!
David and Stacey are going to Antigua, Guatemala in Central America. They will be starting gospel households/communities with a vision to see and develop a ‘Movement of Missionary Disciples’ to spread in Guatemala and beyond.
As in Acts 2 a Gospel Household focuses on:
prayer and the Bible
sharing the gospel
eating and doing life together as extended family
living as disciples and raising and releasing disciple makers.
They will be working alongside the Lighthouse Project which is an after-school club pioneered by Rachel and Oscar Mendoza.
David serves as the Associate Minister at Ipswich International Church. The International nature of the church has continued to develop an existing passion for international mission. He has a desire to see people come to a knowledge of the truth and engage with it in a relevant and understandable manner.
Stacey’s parents were Elim Missionaries in Brazil and Portugal. From a young age she has had a heart for International Mission. In 2007, she went on the Elim Missions Gap year working alongside missionaries which continued to fuel her heart for International Mission. Stacey is trained as a Paediatric Nurse and has worked within the Health Visiting service in the community. She loves seeing people being set free by God’s transforming love.
As a family they are looking forward to living as ‘Family on Mission’ in which they all participate in the mission of making disciples and reaching people with the gospel of Jesus.
