Are you mission ready?

As Elim ADVANCE into a decade of mission, what does it take for our movement to become ‘Mission Ready’. If the mission mandate from Jesus was to make disciples, how are we doing 2000 years on? How broadly does the mission of Jesus extend?

What are we saved from and what are we saved for? Heaven and hell, the kingdom now and not yet? Is the gospel we preach helping or hindering us from making Christ-followers?

It is time for Elim leaders to grapple with Christ’s commission in our current climate to better equip those around us to be ‘Mission Ready’.

The 'church' is facing the challenge of communicating truth of the gospel without inciting hatred

The 'church' can be accused of not truly caring for the planet that their God supposedly created

The 'church' can be increasingly expected to care for the community but keep the message to themselves

“I want to encourage you not to miss out on this unique opportunity to engage with issues directly relevant to the coalface of ministry”

Chris Cartwright - General Superintendent
