Oasis Village - Prayer Letter - February 2018

The work at Oasis Village is ongoing and life is very busy for all concerned.

There are now 47 children living at the Orphanage including nine new children who only arrived on the 9th February! In an unannounced visit Social Services had closed down a local Orphanage overnight due to its shocking state and asked Nicki and Ziso to take the children which they did without hesitation.

Mountainside school is continuing to flourish and all the children from Oasis, including the new ones are attending bar baby Shepherd.

Pastor Ziso's church onsite continues to thrive and there are now seven churches in the Ndola area that have now been planted or affiliated with the Oasis church under the Elim Christian Fellowship umbrella.

Please continue to pray for....

  • The safety and protection of the children and all house mums and staff.
  • Older children that now enjoy music lessons and play instruments as they help lead the worship in Church especially Gilrinnoh, Mary, Learnmore and Billy.
  • All the children are learning to swim and the progress is amazing in such a short time.
  • New school classrooms are nearly completed. Thanks that the Grade 7 pupils did really well in their exams before Christmas.
  • Louis and Learnmore were having to attend school quite a distance away. Give thanks that Nicki has secured places for them just walking distance away at Lubuto Secondary School. They now have extra time for learning instead of travelling!
  • Give thanks for three more teachers (Male) recently employed at Mountainside.
  • Land has been cleared onsite for proposed sports complex.
  • Accommodation block is well advanced. Please pray that it will be completed and ready for occupation for the team, almost 20 from Ulster Temple, Belfast going out to help the work in Ndola this Summer. Pray for their safe journey and stay.
  • Please pray for Nicki and Ziso Zach Zoe and Zara. It takes a lot of work and effort to run the Orphanage and take responsibility for all that goes on at Oasis Village. Pray that they enjoy good health (Ziso recently suffered from Maleria but is back to good health again)
  • Pray that God will continue to bless Oasis Village in every way.
