We have launched an appeal and initiative for the island of Dominica, which was devastated by storm Maria in September.

Here is the short term need:

We are sending a container of resources and would welcome donations of the following items,

  • Surgical Masks, Cleaning Agents, Bleach, Rubbish Bags,
  • Umbrellas, Cooler Bags, Coolers, Ziplock bags,
  • Buckets, Water Storage Containers, Solar Torches, Brooms,
  • Mops, Salt, Baby Wipes, Baby Nappies.
  • Mosquito Repellent, Mosquito Nets, Protein Bars, Energy Drinks,

We are also hoping to raise £3000 to cover shipping costs.

Gifts will need to be sent to the Elim Missions Office at EIC.

The longer term desire:

After the large aid agencies have left we want to begin church planting and have a strong desire to place a missionary couple in Dominica. There has been good work in the Caribbean from several Elim leaders in the past and now we feel it is time to set up a permanent Elim presence.

We believe we are entering a new season for Elim in that area of the world. We will help those who are suffering now and we will then see Elim churches established in Dominica.

We are indebted to Pastor Andy Boxall of CLC, Birmingham and to one of his members, Deidre La Bassiere, who carry the burden and vison for this appeal.
