Keith & Barbie Jackson

Keith is a leader with many years experience, having pastored the Elim churches in Douglas, Eastbourne, and latterly Chelmsford. A gifted communicator Keith has a passion to share the Good News of Jesus and to train the next generation of leaders. During his ministry Keith has overseen a multi-million pound redevelopment of one of Elim’s churches, established day nurseries, opened an independent Christian School for vulnerable children as well as being actively involved in missions. He studied for ministry at Regents Theological College and holds a BA (Hons) in Applied Theology and later gained his MTh in Applied Theology also through Regents. Exquisite Jesus, Keith’s first book, was well received and he enjoys writing in his spare time. An avid F1 fan, Keith’s secret ambition is to drive an F1 car!

Barbie is a South African who is known for her hugs, kindness and courage. She practised as a nurse for 22 years after qualifying in South Africa before retraining as a midwife in 2006 in Eastbourne. She holds a BSc in Midwifery and many diplomas. During her career Barbie has gained a thorough knowledge of midwifery, having pioneered a new specialised clinic, worked in the community as well as in theatres. Barbie is passionate about helping the vulnerable and is keen to use her skills on the mission field. She is also a graduate of Regents Theological College, having studied for two years, gaining a Diploma in Applied Theology. She too is a gifted communicator and preacher. She loves all things turquoise.

Keith and Barbie have been married since 1988 after meeting at Butlin’s Skegness, in 1986 at a Christian conference. They have three married sons and one grandson (so far) who are all in the UK.
