Chile-2017-459

Elim South American Conferences

Elim Missions' Ireland Director, Roy Johnston, was recently part of a team from Elim UK to South America for the Elim Chile Annual Conference, and then the Elim Global Central and South America Conference which saw Elim leaders from 5 nations gather with missionaries from Elim UK representing 2 nations.

Roy writes:

Chile-2017-thumbIt will be extremely difficult to put into writing the amazing things God did through our trip to Chile.

The first weekend was the Elim Chile annual Conference in Pitrufquen in the southern area of the country, where Pastor Stuart Argue and myself had the opportunity to minister God’s Word on a number of occasions.

Here we met up with Elim’s Missionaries John and Rachel McDonough from Paraguay.  They were invaluable to us in translation and in understanding the culture of the Latin and South American’s.  It was an extremely precious time. There was a great sense of the presence of the Lord.  Many were prayed for and ministered to and there was a lovely time of fellowship as we met with the leadership, the pastors and their wives.

Chile-2017-214The next week we met up with Paul Hudson, International Missions Director, and Chris Cartwright for the Elim Global Conference, in which Paul and Chris ministered the Word of God with great anointing.  There were National Elim Leaders present from Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Guyana, Honduras along with John and Rachel, Elim Missionaries in Paraguay and Oscar and Rachel Mendoza, Elim Missionaries in Guatemala.

There was a great sense of unity and purpose among all those who were gathered and the Holy Spirit moved among us all.  It was truly a great time of renewal and refreshing in the presence of the Lord.  Praise God!

John McDonough, working in Paraguay told us:
We were so blessed to spend time together as leaders, receiving encouragement and input from the International Missions Director and also the GS. Elim Global is really going places- where the Holy Spirit leads! Good days are ahead of us in the world of Elim.

The evidence of the remarkable growth of Pentecostalism is clear and mission is fundamental to that fact.
Hello from Macedonia. Here is a brief look at some highlights from February and March.
Forty years on from the biggest tragedy in Elim’s history, a memorial garden has been created in recognition of the 13 missionaries who were slaughtered in The Vumba, Zimbabwe
We have launched an appeal for the devastation caused in South Eastern Africa by Cyclone Idai. Torrential rain and winds up to 170km/h have swept from Malawi, across Mozambique and into Zimbabwe.
