Out this May, ‘Elim 100’ album celebrates 100 years of Elim

To celebrate 100 years of Elim, Elim Sound have recorded a new album called ELIM 100, scheduled for release in May, prior to the Leaders Summit in Harrogate.

A key function of Elim Sound is bringing together communities of worship leaders, pastors and creatives from the Elim movement and beyond, inspiring, encouraging and equipping the church in worship. So for this album, nine Elim worship leaders from across the nation formed a worship collective, along with a variety of musicians.

Recording the album

The concept of the album follows the theme for the Elim centenary year of honouring the past, while embracing the future, and the tracks comprise of popular Elim hymns and 9 new worship songs.

New songs on the album include "No Longer I" co-written with Matt Redman, the centenary anthem "Best Is Yet to Come”, “Lay It At Your Feet," and a cover of Jared Anderson's "The Great I Am."

Popular hymns and songs chosen for the album include "Power in the Blood”, "Have Thine Own Way" and "Breathe On Me”, which have received new arrangements, while keeping their original essence and powerful lyrics.

Elim Sound, which is led by Sam Blake, Stephen Gibson, Joel Pridmore, and Ian Yates, have a rich heritage than spans a century and are the product of the collective skill and passion of members of a new generation currently emerging within the UK’s Elim Pentecostal Churches.

The group not only aims to inspire, encourage and equip the church in worship, but also to highlight the different skill sets and passionate beliefs of the new generation.
