Join the Global Week of Prayer
From 6–13 September, Christians around the world are being invited to unite in a week of non-stop prayer, lifting up the name of Jesus over our communities and nations.
The Global Week of 24-7 Prayer returns next week, with a vision to see day-and-night prayer taking place in every nation on earth.
This year’s theme, At the Name of Jesus, is rooted in Philippians 2:9-11 and its declaration that Jesus Christ is Lord.
In a world that can so often feel divided, the week is an opportunity for Christians across nations, cultures and denominations to stand together in prayer, seeking God and declaring the name of Jesus over our homes, churches, towns, cities and nations.
The first Global Week of Prayer in 2025 saw communities in 140 nations taking part. This year, 24-7 Prayer is once again inviting churches, groups and individuals around the world to join this growing movement of prayer.
How can you take part?
Churches and communities can create and register a 24-7 Prayer Room, providing a space where people can take turns praying throughout the week. 24-7 Prayer has produced resources and creative prayer stations to help churches get started, including material based around this year’s At the Name of Jesus theme.
You can also take part personally. Daily devotional content for the Global Week of Prayer will be available through the Lectio 365 app, while a programme of online prayer calls will connect Christians from different nations throughout the week.
However you choose to take part, the invitation is simple: make space to pray and join Christians around the world in lifting up the name of Jesus.
