Elim Prayer exists to equip, intercede and resource, inspiring and facilitating prayer across the Elim movement.

Prayer changes lives, history and each one of us

We believe in the power of prayer simply because we believe in the power of the God we pray to. Prayer is God’s gift to us, initiated and started by God himself which the Holy Spirit helps us to do. It is one of the most powerful and privileged things available to us as followers of Jesus.

Prayer is integral to how we live out our faith and demonstrate it in word and deed. Through prayer we connect with the heart of God and He deposits His words, confidence, supernatural empowerment into our lives, so we can make the most of every opportunity.

Prayer Thumb

Sarah Whittleston directs the ministry of Elim Prayer. She is committed to seeing people released into all God has for them. She loves to go on adventures and is passionate about seeing God's Kingdom being more and more a reality here on earth.

Sarah was born in Wales and became a follower of Jesus at 13. After university she spent four and a half years working in youth and evangelism in her home church of Caerphilly and across the UK. She later attended the School of Ministry at Elim’s RTC and upon completion joined the Leadership team at Gloucester Elim in 2005; being ordained in 2009.

Sarah serves as one of the Pastors of Elim Life Church, a multi-site church in North Birmingham. She loves all things Jesus, all things chocolate and all things prayer! She believes that anything is possible when we hear the voice of God and say yes!
