Gather + Pray: A call to united prayer across Elim

Join churches and leaders across the Elim Movement in united prayer on 6–14 September 2025

As a Movement, we love to pray, because prayer changes things and prayer changes us. Prayer connects us to Jesus, tunes our hearts to the Holy Spirit and aligns us with God’s work in our lives, churches, and communities.

This September, we’re inviting the whole Elim family of leaders, churches, and individuals to come together as part of a National Week of Prayer with many Christian organisations and denominations. It’s a moment to:

  • Build community by praying for and with one another.
  • Seek God together for those who don’t yet know Jesus or return to following Jesus
  • Reflect and respond to God’s call to deeper consecration.

Let’s be a people who pray, because when we do, we join in with what God is already doing to see His Kingdom come.

What is planned during the week of prayer?

From 6–14 September 2025, we’re encouraging the entire Elim Movement to Gather + Pray in homes, churches, small groups, online, and in everyday moments.

This is a week to intentionally pause, listen, and pray for:

  • People in our lives and communities
  • Places where God is moving or where we long to see Him move
  • The future of our churches and the wider Elim Movement

Look out for our Prayer Guide (available in early August) to help you get started, but we’re also encouraging you to be led by the Holy Spirit in how and what you pray.

How can you get involved?

  • Pray together in households, small groups, Sunday meetings, over lunch, or online.
  • Join our live online prayer gathering on Thursday 11 September at 7pm – more details coming soon.
  • Elim Leaders: Set aside focused times of fasting and prayer throughout the week, especially on Thursday 11 September. Share what God is saying via the Elim Prayer Connect forum. [Elim Hub users only]

  • Use our resources: Visit Elim Prayer website (elim.org.uk/prayer) for prayer points, guides, and tools to help you lead and participate.

  • Watch and share the Praying Forward video series

Let’s be a Movement that prays together, in unity, and with expectation.

Loss and Grief - a prayer with Eric Gaudion
In life’s darkest moments, when pain feels overwhelming and hope seems distant, we can still cry out to a God who listens.
Justice and Mercy - a prayer with Caleb Nyanni

Finding Jesus - a prayer from Sarah Weaver
Even when the world feels uncertain, Jesus is closer than the whisper of His name. Sarah's prayer reminds us to follow Him in every season—through storms and in stillness—and to have boldness through the Holy Spirit to share His love.
Kingdom - a prayer with Craig Brotherston
When everything around us feels uncertain, God’s kingdom remains unshakeable. In this short prayer, Craig calls us to rediscover the worth of God’s kingdom—like treasure hidden in a field—and to realign our hearts to seek it above all else.
Wellbeing - A prayer from Sarah Hingley
When your thoughts are loud, your body is tired, and your heart feels anxious — how do you pray? Sarah's prayer is an honest cry for rest, stillness, and God's nearness. It's a prayer of asking, of laying everything down and being present before God.
