Vision 20/20: Reaching Nations

Elim is one global network of leaders and churches working together to reach all nations and make Jesus Christ known to the ends of the earth. Iain Hesketh, Elim's International Missions Director, explains how Elim is reaching the nations.

We're not just a national church but part of a growing global Elim movement.

We're committed to extending the kingdom of God and taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to every people, tribe and nation on the planet Earth.

We as Elim are in unprecedented days. We have seen a move of the Spirit across the globe like never before in our history. We're in 57 nations of the world, with 51 national leaders, with over 17 missionary serving with our global partners. This is an amazing opportunity for us.

Why is it that we do what we do? Well we want every nation, every people, every tongue, every tribe to become worshipers of the one who created them. We have this amazing opportunity as Elim to send and receive people like never before. That the whole world might know the ways and means of the one in whom has saved us and sent us out on mission. This is the invitation to join the Spirit in his activity across the globe finding places where he's already active.

This is who we are. We're a Pentecostal people who are captivated by the mission of God. That every nation, tougue and tribe may become worshippers of the one who gave his all for us.

At the Elim Leaders Summit 2017, Chris Cartwright, Elim's General Superintendent shared more about the mission of Elim:

Elim has always been about Nations. The Pentecostal movement around the world was birthed as an all nation, all age, all cultures expression where God broke out.

Every tribe and tongue, I'll pour out my spirit on all flesh, men and women, young and old, Jew and Gentile. Once we were out but now we're in, because God broke out of the familiar containment of a nation who thought it was only about them. And yet we are called to be a light to the nations.

Imagine what it would look like for us as Elim to send more missionaries out than ever before in our history. Imagine what it would look like not to send them out simply as humanitarian workers going doing good works, but its disciple makers. People who are called and captivated by the mission of Jesus to make disciples of all nations, that they may be captivated by his ways. Have ways and means of discipling nations that has a multiplication effect, not simply additional effect upon our movement.

Imagine what it would be like for people from the UK to go back to their nations as disciple-makers. Imagine what it would look like to capture and get a sense of what God is doing on the earth and be caught up with the same sense of urgency that is taking place in other nations of the world that it might be birthed in us as Elim UK. Imagine what it would look like for us to be the disciple-makers of nations that Jesus has intended his church to be.

What are Elim’s big plans for 2019?
