A personal reset

One conference. One hundred leaders. A day that reminded them why they do what they do.

Ben arrived not quite sure what to expect. He left describing the day as “a personal reset”.

He wasn’t alone. More than 100 ministers, church leadership teams and chaplains from across the UK gathered on Saturday 7 March for the Elim Network One Conference, a free annual day for everyone connected to Elim Network, hosted by New Springs City Church in Loughborough.

The theme was Freedom and Favour, rooted in Luke 4. Teaching came from Phil Hills, David Campbell and Stuart Blount, with shorter contributions unpacking the passage in practical, grounded ways. But it was the honest conversations, and the moments of unexpected encouragement, that seemed to land deepest.

“Do not focus on the size of the issues,” one attendee reflected. “Focus on the greatness of God. The Word of God works.”

Another put it simply: “My key takeaway was do what it says in the Bible and don’t try to overcomplicate things.”

The day also held space for gratitude. New churches were welcomed into the Elim Network family, and Phil Weaver and Dave Pickett were thanked for their many years of faithful service on the Leadership Team.

As Elim Network moves through its 99th year, there was a clear sense of momentum and shared purpose. Leaders left not just informed, but encouraged, more ready to trust the Word, and to live the gospel simply and boldly.

Planning is already underway for 2027, when Elim Network will celebrate its 100th year.
