A landmark moment for men

Telford Elim’s inaugural men’s conference
reports Mark Lyndon-Jones

Men from across the North West and Midlands Regions recently converged on Telford for the area’s inaugural men’s conference.

This was not just another gathering; it was a dedicated morning of real talk, powerful worship, and genuine brotherhood, specifically designed to tackle the pressing issues that men face in today’s world. The atmosphere throughout the day was described as raw, profoundly encouraging, and unmistakably filled with God’s presence, collectively marking a significant reset for men’s ministry in the area.

Authentic

The event stood out for several compelling reasons. It was built on a foundation of completely honest discussions, where platitudes and fluff were replaced by authentic conversations about personal faith, deep struggles, and spiritual growth.

The power of personal testimony was also on full display, with stories resonating deeply with the audience and creating a powerful sense of shared experience. The teaching was equally impactful, with speakers delivering practical biblical insights in a relatable and down-to-earth manner that men could truly connect with.

Above all, the conference successfully fostered a strong sense of brotherhood, providing a much-needed safe space for men to connect with one another and be sincerely encouraged.

Refreshing

Feedback from attendees powerfully confirms the event’s success. One guy shared that the conference was a refreshing experience, highlighting the perfect setting and the encouraging combination of brotherhood and divine presence. He would one hundred per cent recommend it to any man, he said.

Another attendee described it as a powerful time of fellowship where God was actively moving. He particularly noted how a specific testimony mirrored his own life and he appreciated the speaker’s ‘normal’ and real approach, finding the entire event uplifting, peaceful, and motivating.

A first-time conference-goer expressed amazement at the experience of simply being around so many godly men, indicating the event’s welcoming nature for men at all stages of their faith journey.

Beginning

This successful gathering was clearly just the beginning. With such an incredibly positive response, MPower, Elim’s National Men’s Ministry is already gearing up to organise more regional events, aiming to make them even stronger, bolder, and more impactful. Churches interested in hosting similar events are encouraged to make contact.

This conference was far more than just another men’s event; it was a vital reset. It served as a crucial reminder that men desperately need brotherhood, honesty, and faith to truly thrive.

Here’s to many more conferences just like this one, building up men across the nation and the movement!
