From pause to pioneering
How Limitless is helping Prescot Community Church rebuild youth ministry—and reach a new generation.
Limitless Pioneers helps Elim churches start thriving youth ministries in places where there is no real youth work, or where only a handful of young people remain. This is the story of Prescot Community Church.
Historically, the Elim church in Prescot had an incredible youth ministry. But like so many churches, following lockdown and a change in leadership and volunteers, the youth work had to cease—leaving only a few young people attending on Sundays.
Church leader Ian was determined to do something about it and reach out to the many young people in the local area who need Jesus.
That’s where Limitless Pioneers came in. Emma Gaze, who leads Limitless Pioneers, began working with the church one day a week in January 2025. Over six weeks, she trained eight amazing volunteers in the basics of youth work and ministry. Then, following Easter, they relaunched with a community BBQ.
Twelve young people turned up on the first night. Since then, word has spread—and over the last term, around 25 young people now attend every week. The midweek youth nights include a mix of activities, games, and group discussions around the Bible.
That’s 25 young people hearing the Word of God each week. Praise God for Limitless Prescot!
