Adelle Howells

From a life surrounded by drugs and chaos to leading others in faith, Adelle’s story is one of incredible transformation and hope. Born in Manchester, she was raised in an environment where addiction was all she knew — both her parents were heroin users, and her father tragically died from an overdose when she was just 19.

After attending 13 different schools and becoming a mother at 15, Adelle’s path could have followed the same broken cycle. But everything changed in 2013 when she encountered Jesus and found a new purpose for her life. She went on to work with Barry Woodward at Proclaim Trust and is now a Minister with Elim.

Today, Adelle serves as an evangelist and church leader alongside her husband Brad, and is passionate about inspiring women and young people to discover lasting hope in Christ.

Pete’s journey began with a childhood curiosity about life's purpose, leading him into science—exploring evolution, physics, and quantum mechanics. Confident in his understanding, he believed he held ultimate truth.

However, a chance encounter with Philip, a Christian parent, challenged his worldview. Sceptical at first, he debated Philip’s faith but grew increasingly curious. During a family crisis, Philip’s act of kindness and prayer profoundly impacted him, revealing authentic Christian love. This inspired him to explore Christianity further, and reading the Alpha Course sparked a spiritual awakening.

The sinner’s prayer and reflection led to a powerful experience of Jesus’ love and renewal. Pete’s life was transformed from one driven by scientific pursuits to serving God wholeheartedly now as a minister. His story demonstrates that genuine love, compassion, and divine grace can lead even sceptics to faith, hope, and eternal purpose.

Richard’s story is one of incredible redemption. Once an altar boy in a Catholic church, he grew up a quiet child burdened with deep insecurities. Those struggles eventually led him down a dark and destructive path—fourteen years lost in the chaos of drug addiction. His life spiralled so far out of control that it culminated in a devastating moment when he jumped from a three-storey window, breaking his back.

But everything changed after attending his wife Klaudia’s baptism. What happened next can only be described as a miracle. Through the transforming power of Jesus Christ, Richard found true healing, hope, and restoration—both in his own life and within his family.

Sarah Weaver

Sarah has a testimony of restoration, hope and knowing God in the midst of the storm. After a failed suicide attempt at the age of 19 Sarah began to ask some big questions about life and a few weeks later said yes to Jesus. Sarah describes living a fully restored life in Jesus. She has experienced the full healing of God and has overcome trauma, abuse and their adverse effects. Like many of us, Sarah has faced significant storms since walking with Jesus, the biggest one being the sudden death of her husband at the age of 29 yrs.

Sarah loves nothing more than sharing Jesus, seeing people come to know Him and go on with Him. She walks in the grace and calling of an Evangelist, currently leading Elim Evangelism Teams, taking teams across the UK to support churches in evangelistic outreach and mission.

Sarah is an ordained Minister at New Springs City Church, an Elim Network Church, and is their Evangelist and church plant lead, recently planting a church in Hartlepool in the North East.
