Business Support to the Executive Director

Elim International Centre is currently recruiting for an experienced Personal Assistant to provide business support to the Executive Director. Your role is integral to ensure that the objectives of the Executive Director are met.

The role of Business Support to the ED is to provide specialist administrative/project management support to this Director. You will be a team player, quick to learn with a willingness to embrace and adopt a project management approach to completing delegated tasks. You will also need to deliver an effective and competent level of administrative support as the first point of contact for the ED. This includes diary management, scheduling meetings and supporting documents. You must be proactive, focused and organised with consistent attention to detail and you will be expected to work collaboratively with the PA to the General Superintendent and liaise where warranted.

Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Acting as first point of contact for the ED, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.
  • Research and analysis to support the various tasks of the ED.
  • Provide administrative support to the ED (including organising meetings and events preparing agendas, transcribing action items and completing minutes).
  • Lead on various small projects as directed by the ED, drawing on a project management approach to meet various deadlines.
  • Being able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales.
  • Contributing (where directed), inputting into, monitoring and printing reports.
  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation for the ED when directed.
  • Undertaking research and development as directed.
  • Collating and filing expenses.
  • Carrying out other appropriate delegated duties as required.
  • Attend training as required.

  • Salary: £20,000 - £25,000(Pro-Rata)
  • Part Time Contract 3 days or 22.5 hours per week

Limitless Pioneers Projects Developer

LIMITLESS has a vision to launch 100 new youth ministries in churches who are not currently reaching young people. In September 2017, the LIMITLESS Pioneers project was officially launched, and we have so far established 14 new youth ministries through the work of this initiative. This initiative has been built on sending teams out to serve, partner and work with local churches to launch and establish new youth groups, as well as training local teams to continue the new ministries. In order to take this work further, there is a need to bring additional people onto the team to work with local churches in specific areas of the country.

LIMITLESS is looking for a highly-motivated, dynamic, visionary and missional leader to establish new youth ministries across the country.

The first and most important specification on this job description is for any applicant to have a living and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus, to be spending daily time with Him and setting an example for others in their character.

This is an opportunity to shape and be a part of an initiative that will have a significant impact on the present and future of many local churches across the country, as you use your gifts to train new leaders and see lives changed.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pioneering 2-3 new youth ministries in churches with no existing youth provision, each academic year.
  • Communicating with local schools and making community connections.
  • >Working with local church volunteers to be able to establish a new youth ministry, whilst managing this team and working on an ‘exit-strategy’ with each team for when the pioneering work is over.
  • Communicate and co-ordinate with partnering church leadership teams regarding Limitless Pioneers, new youth ministry and the continuation of youth provision within the local church.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Information

  • The role holder will be required to attend the four key Limitless events, working to engage the young people and youth leaders from the new youth groups.
  • This role will mostly be fulfilled remotely, though you will be required to be in the Malvern office for staff team days once a month, usually on the first Monday.
  • There are also times in the year when we have LIMITLESS team away days, which you would be required to attend.

Personal Assistant to the Director of Ministry

Elim International Centre is currently recruiting for an experienced Personal Assistant to provide administrative support to the Director of Ministry. Your role is integral to ensure that the objectives of the Director of Ministry are met.

You will need to deliver an effective and competent level of administrative /secretarial support including the administration of meetings, accurate record keeping and diary management as well as acting as the first point of contact for the DoM. You will need to be able to work effectively and unsupervised in the absence of DoM and you are expected to work collaboratively with the organisation’s Pa’s.

You must have a demonstrable working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook and possess excellent communication skills both written and spoken.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acting as first point of contact for the DoM, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information to stakeholders, referring to others as appropriate.
  • Managing the electronic diary for the DoM, including arranging and changing appointments, prioritising these as appropriate.
  • Sorting and prioritising incoming mail / e-mail, distributing and corresponding where appropriate, on behalf of the DoM.
  • Answering telephone calls, taking messages and passing on accurately to the relevant departments/person.
  • Dealing with visitors to EIC, organising hospitality and signposting where required.
  • Ensuring that all complaints, comments and suggestions are dealt with appropriately, in accordance with EIC policy, resolving where possible and escalating to line manager when appropriate.
  • Photocopying and word processing documents, letters, emails, minutes, action logs and reports when required.
  • Implementing and maintaining procedures & administrative systems related to the DoM’s departmental and national responsibilities.
  • Developing and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team.
  • Liaising with other departments maintaining organisational synergy, especially in relation to the GS department.
  • Being able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies (including GDPR)) and procedures to set timescales.
  • Having a flexible/adaptable approach to work in order to meet various deadlines.
  • Being responsible for organising meetings and events for both the DoM and carrying out the relevant administrative work as required (such as preparing agendas and completing minutes).
  • Inputting into, monitoring and printing reports from computerised systems.
  • Booking and arranging travel, transport and accommodation when and where directed.
  • Undertaking research and development as directed.
  • Carrying out other appropriate delegated duties as required.
