The Elim Pentecostal Church (legal name: Elim Foursquare Gospel Alliance) is a UK-based Pentecostal Christian denomination and represents a global network of 500 plus churches in the UK and thousands overseas, operating in over 50 countries worldwide. The Elim International Centre (EIC), our central administrative office is based in Malvern, Worcestershire where Regents Theological College and the Elim Conference Centre are also co-located. Overall, EIC has approximately 100 staff.
Due to retirement, Elim is seeking a new Finance Director (FD). This is a key role for the charity and is central to its future success. We are looking for a person who will embody the values and ethos of EFGA and will deliver effective, operational and strategic financial leadership at this exciting time.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the FD will be an integral part of the Executive Team, playing a vital role in enabling the charity to deliver its mission and objectives.
Lead on Finance, IT, Data & Performance and be the Director of Elim Trading Company
Lead on the strategic planning, implementation and management of all finance activities across the charity.
Ensure strong governance and internal control processes and procedures are in place within Elim International Centre and across EFGA.
Be the executive lead for the Elim Ministers’ Pension Fund (EMPF)
Be the point of contact for the Finance Board and the Audit & Governance Committee in finance-related matters
Seek out methods and practices to minimise financial risk
Supervise finance department employees in the facilitation of day-to-day operations, including tracking financial data, invoicing, payroll, etc.
The successful applicant will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and will be able to demonstrate significant financial leadership experience, (preferably within the charity sector) and have a detailed knowledge of SORP accounting. You will be comfortable bridging a broad spectrum of duties ranging from strategic advice to hands on delivery where needed.
The FD will be an effective decision maker and have significant managerial experience with the ability to influence, inspire and motivate those around you.
You will be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate financial information and advice to a range of different persons, including churches and church leaders.
A salary package of circa £70,000 - £75,000.
EIC is currently exploring hybrid working options and this role includes the flexibility to work from home for up to two days a week.
