This substantial red-brick villa is typical of the many thousands that were built for the prosperous middle classes in the late Victorian period. Snowboard & Ski Centre
With its outdoor all weather 85 metre dry ski slope and its nursery slope, Telford snowboard and ski centre is a great place to learn to ski or to improve your technique before you hit the slopes.
Blists Hill Victorian Town
A living outdoor museum where you can visit a host of restored Victorian buildings, shops, factories, schools, enjoy a horse and cart ride or try a cone of traditional fish and chips. Click for more.
The Wrekin
The Wrekin is probably Shropshire’s best known landmark and was the inspiration for Tolkien’s Middle Earth in the Lord of the Rings. Climb any of the various routes to the summit and you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views across 15 counties.
Hoo Farm Animal Kingdom
A family-run attraction nestling in 32 acres of woodland and paddocks. With 125 different breeds of animals from owls and ostriches to emus and meerkats it’s a children’s paradise. A daily programme of events encourages participation in the form of bottle-feeding lambs, goat and deer feeding and collecting the freshly laid eggs. Click for more.

Hawkstone Historic Park and Follies
Intricate pathways, ravines, arches and bridges, the towering cliffs and follies, the hermit in his hermitage and King Arthur addressing his troops in the awesome caves combine to create an amazing visit that can last around 3.5 hours. The Shropshire Golf Centre
Located less than five miles from the centre of Telford the Shropshire Golf Centre offers you the chance to choose from three 9-hole loops to complete your 18 hole round as well as a 30 bay driving range and a par 3 short course. Click for more.
Benthall Hall (National Trust)
This fine 16th century stone house situated near the River Severn has a stunning interior. There is a carefully restored plantsman’s garden, old kitchen garden and an interesting Restoration church. Click for more.
Ironbridge Gorge
One of Shropshire’s top attractions, the Ironbridge Gorge is known throughout the world as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
